How long should I leave for my appointment?
A routine eye test takes approximately 30 minutes with the optometrist, with extra time around this for checking you in, and discussing spectacle options. We recommend at least 1 hour for your appointment.

Do you test children's eyes?
Absoultely, unlike other opticians, we have no age limit for our patients. We have examined children’s eyes as young as four days old and adults as old as 98!

Can you come to my house to examine my eyes?
Yes. If you’re on certain benefits, or 60 and older and unable to leave the house unaccompanied the NHS will cover the cost of this. If you’d like a private eye test in the comfort of your own home simply contact us to discuss.

Do i have to buy glasses?
No. At Batley Eyecare we take great pride in examining the health of your eyes ensuring they will continue to serve you well for as long as possible. The main purpose of the eye test is for this. We also carefully determine whether you need spectacles to improve your vision but will always give you honest advice as to whether you require these, or not.
